Translation (Swahili)

"My name is Margaret Wanjiku, and my husband's name is John Mwangi Kariuki. We do this farming work together, and we thank God because it enables us to feed our family, educate our children, and also meet our daily needs.

We thank God for this company, Bio-Vision, because they visit us and teach us how to practice organic farming. We thank God because this maize you see here where I'm standing—we planted it in the middle of May, around the 15th. The fertilizer we used for planting here is Bokashi. We were taught by Bio-Vision how to make it, and we can see that it has done very well.

As time went on, they came with a company to prevent Fall Armyworm, which is Sentinel, and they used their medicine. We see that our maize has been cured, the pests are gone, and we hope that if God gives us rain, we will get a good harvest. We will be able to harvest, have food to feed the family, and also get something for our pockets.

​So, I thank God that this company has done good work, all of them collaborating together because they come to help us as farmers. We thank God because if it weren't for them, we would still be down there. But through their training and by paying attention to the instructions—and even putting those instructions into practice in our farms—we see that we are succeeding. May God bless them."
