NOW LET'S FOCUS ON INDIA

ADDRESSING 2 OF INDIA's AGRICULTURAL PRESSURES

01-Fall Army Worm

Crop protection depends on timely detection and intervention.
India already has established pest control measures such as FAW - Fall Army Worm surveillance and management practices, including pheromone traps, biological controls and targeted interventions.
However, there is scope for a more effective solution.
What if we take this a step further and question...

The Opportunity

Can earlier field intelligence help identify emerging pest pressure sooner and support more precise targeted interventions?

02-Crop Nutrition

Fertiliser efficiency is increasingly a soil-health and productivity issue.

ICAR is actively promoting balanced, soil-test-based fertilisation and has warned against excessive or indiscriminate fertiliser use because of nutrient imbalance, soil degradation and reduced sustainability. Here we see another gap and question.

The Opportunity

Can better crop intelligence help identify nutritional requirements more precisely and improve nutrient-use efficiency and minimise  hurting soil?

Both Challenges

Pose One Question

Can better intelligence help India detect earlier, act more precisely, measure the result — and reduce crop yield loss?

We believe it can through 2 simple solutions:

1 SentinelX → Crop Pest Protection / FAW
2 SentinelXC → Plant Nutrition / Fertiliser Optimisation

01- Focusing On A  Major Issue

The Pest Problem

Besides soil toxicity and degradation,  India looses on average +33% yields annually (CABI 2025) due to biotic stress with additional inflicted loses causes by

  • Other pests: 4.5%
  • Diseases: 6.5%
  • Field Insects: 9.5%
  • Weeds: 12.5%
  • Additional costs of labor x%

The combined devastation of crops caused by invasive pests is reported to be a staggering Rs. 500  billion annually  across all sectors.

Amongst India's top five most invasive pests, the Fall Armyworm (FAW) alone, causes devastating damage to crops-primarily maize.

Studies assessing the economic footprint of FAW on maize cultivation in India detail heavy financial burdens on farmers adding cultivation costs of up to Rs.13,597/ per hectare.

Indian Journal of Ecology (2025)

The Destructive Impact of Just One Pest Alone: The Invasive Fall Army Worm

Currently, the World is in a fight against FAW and it's a huge problem. Fall Armyworm is particularly difficult to manage because it spreads rapidly, reproduces quickly and can migrate long distances, while feeding on a wide range of crops. Once established, it is extremely difficult to eradicate, making continuous monitoring, early detection and timely intervention critical.

In India, this pest has been spreading rapidly following its first detection 8 years ago, demonstrating how quickly local infestations can become a wider agricultural challenge.

Maize alone suffers the highest impact. And early-to-late whorl damage ranges under normal field infestations only get worse every passing year with rainfed crop severity peaking up to nearly 47%.

The Trend

WHY THIS MATTERS TO INDIA

1. Protecting maize productivity
Unmanaged FAW was associated with a fall in yield from 45.40 to 27.80 q/ha.

2. Protecting farmer economics
Return fell from ₹1.28 to ₹0.89 per ₹1 invested when FAW was unmanaged.

3. Enabling earlier, targeted intervention
The data support the importance of timely management before infestation becomes more severe.

Note Historic context: These are field observations from Karnataka, 2018–2022, not current national estimates or forecasts. They illustrate the economic consequences observed in the study and provide context for why earlier detection and timely intervention may matter for protecting maize productivity and farmer returns.

Add To This The Extra Hidden Costs...

A Recurring Problem.
The Fight Against FAW Gets Worst Every Year.

8  Y E A R S    A T    W A R

Since FAW's arrival in 2018...

....the country has made significant progress in adopting AI and digital technologies to modernise agriculture — including the Digital Agriculture Mission, NPSS, AgriStack, KDSS, IPM frameworks and ICAR guidelines. These initiatives are strengthening crop monitoring, pest identification, precision farming, yield estimation and farmer decision-making.

But the next opportunity is to move from monitoring and identification towards earlier detection, rapid diagnosis and timely, targeted intervention.

WHY AN ENHANCED APPROACH IS CRITICAL

"Fall Armyworm (FAW) eggs hatch within 2 to 5 days, and the highly destructive caterpillars feed for 12 to 21 days. Because severe and irreversible crop damage occurs during this narrow window, early detection and treatment are critical before larvae reach the 3rd instar stage, after which they burrow deep into the plant whorls and resist standard management practices."

— Source: Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Kharif Agro-Advisories

The most severe and irreversible crop devastation occurs as the FAW larvae mature. The first few days post-hatching represent the critical window for intervention.

02-Next:Focusing on Fertilisers,
Another Major Issue

For India, pesticides are a major issue and it's driving health risks, water pollution, and global toxicity concerns as well as cost factors.

But the fertiliser challenge extends beyond affordability: rising global prices, import dependence, subsidy pressures and nutrient imbalance create a complex environment for farmers and government alike.

With soil health and nutrient efficiency becoming increasingly important, the opportunity is not simply to import and use more fertiliser, but to apply the right nutrients more precisely, improve efficiency and maximise crop productivity from every kilogram applied.

FERTILISER SUBSIDIES

Fertiliser subsidies represent one of India's largest recurring agricultural investments. But only a portion of that investment translates into productive value in the field. The remainder is absorbed across production, distribution and application — while inefficient and excessive fertiliser use can create unwanted environmental side-effects.

Are the side effects of toxic
chemicals what India wants?

A Closer Look At Fertiliser Pains

1 Rising Subsidy Costs: ₹1.71 Lakh Crore annual subsidy. Global price increases continue to drive higher Government expenditure.

2 Import Dependence: Heavy reliance on imported fertilisers leaves India exposed to global supply disruptions.

3 Inefficient Application: Uniform fertiliser application can lead to higher costs, lower efficiency and reduced returns.

4.Declining Soil Health: Nutrient imbalances (10.9:4.4:1 vs 4:2:1) are reducing fertiliser efficiency and long-term productivity.

5. Climate Impact: Runoff and nutrient leaching reduce fertiliser effectiveness and increase replacement costs

6. Human Health Impact and Global Pressures

India has made substantial investments to ensure fertiliser remains affordable and available.

The Reality For Farmers

What Farmers actually need is help that reduce costs, prevent yield spoils, reduce labor investment and effort and the reduction or removal of additional employment whilst reducing the use of toxic synthetic pesticides.

Q. What sets SentinelX  and SentinelXC apart that makes its approach different?

SentinelX and SentinelXC's strength is the cutting edge technology it uses along with its treatment potency. The Photonic emissions on top of radio frequencies, delivered remotely, with early detection is what uniquely sets our products apart from rivel products on the market.

Q. How simple is it to use SentinelX + Sentinel XC?

Enroll, send us your farm coordinates and make the payment. We diagnose your field remotely and deliver treatment by satellite and drone. Your only job is to tell us before anything is applied to the field.

Q. What if I use pesticides after a SentinelX  Treatment ?

Do not apply pesticides after deployment, because they block the plant response SENTINEL X relies on.

Pesticides must not be applied after deployment.
SENTINEL X works by inducing the plant's own physiologic response, which produces volatile compounds (VOCs) that target the pest.

Pesticides drastically inhibit that response, so the plant can't produce those compounds, and the technology is rendered completely ineffective.

Pesticide use is detected the same way pests are, and it also violates the SENTINEL X protocol.

Q. Explain how SentinelX Treatment works ?

Q. How long before I can see signs of improvement?

Following the treatment, initial signs of improvements can be seen within a matter of days for most crops. However do bear in mind the condition of your crop will influence how fast it shows recovery.
Proven Results can be seen typically after a few days to a few weeks.

Q. What is the seasonal trial offer?

You protect your farm for a full growing season with one flat fee - calculated per hectare. We monitor your crop and treat it whenever it needs it, until protection and nutrient levels are where they should be.

Q. How many treatments are included in the seasonal trial?

As many as your crop needs. Treatment is guided by our experts and your farm's data, so you never pay per treatment, per product.

Q. What is the minimum hectare of farm land I can treat?

Treatment starts at a minimum of 1 hectare.

Q. What if my farm is less than the minimum 1 hectare?

If your land size falls below 1 hectare, then the absolute minimum is still 1 hectares.Treatment starts at a minimum of 1 hectare.

Q. What do the treatments cost?

For farm lands under 100,000 hectares it's  $100 fee per hectare, per product, per seasonal treatment.  You can estimate your fee by using the calculator above. It excludes card transaction charges, which is typically added at payment.

Prices are per hectare, per season:

- SENTINEL X alone: $50, for any program size
- SENTINEL XC alone: $50, for any program size
- SENTINEL X + SENTINEL XC together: $100 for programs under 100,000 ha, and $75 for programs above 100,000 ha.

Card transaction fees are added at payment. Use the calculator above to estimate your fee.

Q. Is it okay for me to use my own Pesticides and herbicides whilst my farm is being treated with SentinelX and SentinelXC?

As a golden rule we strictly advise:

- No pesticides after deployment.
- No herbicide during the vegetative phase.
- Pre-plant herbicide is OK.
- Give advance notice before anything goes on the field.

Q. Does SentinelXC Replace Fertiliser Use?

That depends on what type of fertilizer you prefer to use since they are not all equal.

SentinelXC  won't replace ''all'' fertilisers,  but it will definitely cut majority of fertilizer use by up to 70%; giving you noticeable savings.  If you do continue to use other safer fertilisers we recommend granular fertilizer is okay.

Q. What are the Products treat?

SentinelX if you have a pest problem.
SentinelXC if you have a plant nutrition problem.
Both if your plants need both.

We can help you decide once we have analysed your crops and have a full diagnostic report.

Q. What if the treatment doesn't work on my crops-do I get a refund?

Payments are non-refundable.

Once SENTINEL X / SENTINEL XC is deployed, the application can't be reversed.

It runs for the full 3-week initial cycle. Before you pay, we diagnose your field and confirm the treatment suits your crop and its condition.

Q. Does the price change if my crops need more treatments in the same season?

No.

The seasonal fee is the same whether your crop needs one treatment or several.

For example:

SENTINEL X + SENTINEL XC on 10 ha costs

10 × $100 = $1,000 for the season.

Q. Can I start with just 1 hectare and then decide to commit -and what will it cost?

Yes.

A 1-hectare trial costs $50 for SENTINEL X or SENTINEL XC alone, or $100 for both together. Once you see results on your own land, you can expand.

Q. How soon will I see results?

Initial results are often noticeable within days of treatment. Full results come within 2–3 weeks.

Timing depends on your crop's condition and pest pressure, and we give you a timeframe after we diagnose your field.

Q. Do I get a discount rate for a trial, if I take  Sentinel X + Sentinel XC together?

Yes, for large programs.

Under 100,000 ha, the two together cost $100/ha, the same as buying each one separately.

Above 100,000 ha, the combined price drops to $75/ha, a 25% saving.

Q.  Do I pay $75 or $50 for the 1 hectare trial offer?

For a "1-hectare trial'' $50 applies to a single product trial.

If you trial both products: It's  $100 for SENTINEL X + SENTINEL XC.

$75/ha combo applies to a programs above 100,000 ha."

So if you anticipate to take on the treatment for lands you have that is 100,000 hectares or more you can take advantage of the discounted special offer whilst the offer is available. (Any changes to offers and prices will be updated accordingly).
